5X increase in traffic to SAAS website!
In this case study, you’ll learn how we were able to skyrocket a SAAS website throughout the ranks of Google.
Over $6.3K value in organic traffic is now received by this site every month!
Overview
There are big contracts involved in this software as a service business (SAAS) model.
There’s no problem with targeting terms with low search volume because they’re very valuable.
A few of the pages on this site were on the first page. However, it’s such a lucrative industry that just getting one or two more customers would easily make a $100k+ difference each year.
The problem was they didn’t get traffic. That’s where we could help!
The SEO Audit
The first thing we do when taking on a managed SEO campaign is to audit the website.
There are several factors to consider, including keyword rankings, traffic, links, anchor text, etc.
The site did not have any previous penalties. Prior to this, there was some traffic on the site, but it wasn’t growing.
The links were not over-optimized, and the site was just lacking the link juice in general!
In addition to producing consistent content on their website, we wanted to increase their links equity.
Keyword Research
Finding Quick Wins
A CPC of $18 was found for 104 terms that had a volume of between 10-50 searches a month. Because this is very niche software, these are not high-volume keywords, but they can be very profitable.
Most of the search keywords were in top 2-3 pages in Google. Easy wins weren’t likely to produce impressive traffic graphs, as we knew from the start but if we could rank them for these keywords, they would be able to make a lot of money.
Analyzing the Competition
With the competitive gap analysis, we are able to determine which keywords are currently ranking for your competitors but not for you.
In order to create relevant content and to differentiate yourself from your competitors, you can use such keywords.
301 terms were found with a monthly search volume of 300-10,000, all with cost per click. Our client was able to benefit from a lot of gems in there, so we shared every single one term with them.
